Reboot into BIOS with the external monitor connected. Enter the BIOS settings by pressing the Del button on the connected keyboard before the Windows will launch.
You will see the BIOS window: select the Chipset tab-> Panel type line-> select "1280 x 800 / 24 bit / Single channel"-> Save and Exit tab-> Save changes and reset-> Yes.

This should solve the issue. Let us know if it does not.

Erik.

OK - disconnect external monitor and reboot MB1 (even more than once) and see if issue disappears. Go into Display Settings in Windows 10 and check it is correctly set up.Especially check resolution is 1200x800. If not, do that. If that is then ok, return to external monitor configuration. If still have problem, let us know. I have seen this problem before and on each case it was resolved without need of further assistance. I hope same for you.

Erik.

Not that the following necessarily has anything to do with the reason behind Gian's issue, but it is something for MB1 owners to bear in mind:

MB1s bought in 2016 are approaching 3 years old now. Whilst the computer CMOS battery has a theoretical life of at least 5 years, it seems that some are showing signs of dropping their voltage already. The tell-tale early warning sign is that, following a period of not using the MB1 for a day or so, the computer clock requires significant correction via the Internet Time Server. Later, further voltage drops will cause some BIOS setting loss including that of the panel display.

This had already happened in my MB1, bought in August 2016. The solution is cheap and quick: obtain a CR2032 battery with lead and replace the one in the radio.
