Hello,
is it possible to transmit/receive with different antennas on the 2 ports? I´m thinking about to transmit with one antenna and receive on the other antenna (the rx-ant should be muted and well protected on the other port while transmitting). Is this possible with the Pro2 and safe?

My other question: Anybody using a ATU 2.0 and a Mazzoni Loop to tune the Loop automatically with his Pro2?

Thanks and 73´

Hi,
You are talking about Duplex, hardware design allows it, but we still need to implement it in the software and firmware, it's in our plans for the next year.

No, firmware is a specific class of computer software that provides the low-level control for the device's specific hardware (copied from Wiki).
Basically programming part of every our device consists of the firmware and ESDR2, some functionality depends on firmware and some on software.
To implement Duplex we need to completely redesign firmware and made adjustments in the ESDR2 (under the hood), the hardware part of the SS2PRO transceiver doesn't have to be changed, it was designed with Duplex in mind.

The answer is yes. I do this for 80 meters all the time. I have my transmit antenna on A2 and my receive loop on A3. You just need to set the receive antenna to A3 in the drop down arrow.

What i mean ist transmit with antenna A2 and receive with antenna A3 (RX-Antenna) on the same frequency.
Is it possible and safe in operation with ~300W and both antennas nearby?
I do this with my FTDX-3000 without problems because the RX-Antenna port is protected while i´m sending on the other port.

Yes, you can do that, just make sure antennas are far away from the transceiver.
