I'd like to use a broadband active antenna on the SunSDR2 Pro in the second HF port, with a standard antenna such as the Super Antenna MP1 in the first HF antenna port.
I contacted the manufacture of the antenna and they told me that the antenna input must be grounded when transmitting to stop the circuit being damaged.

I'm presuming there is a way of using remote control to achieve this? Has anyone completed this task?

Many thanks, Mark.

could you not use the accessories (DB15 connector) on the back- I do not recall but I think pins 13 and 15 you could then use them to energize a relay to ground antenna when you are in TX mode.

pins 13 and 15 are used when you need to trigger an amp to go to TX- you would need to turn on PA mode in the EESDR software but if those pins trigger an external amp you could easily build a relay to ground antenna when tx is applied
Please do not email me and ask for help I no longer will be part of this, If I could delete /remove my profile I would do so.

Yes, that's right.
Anyway you should consider adding a delay between the PTT-ON and the actual start of transmission. In SSB you can set the "PTT switching delay" values in the "Options->Device->TX" panel. In CW it is a bit more complicated because such delays don't work. You can only set the "BreakIn->Macros Delay" value, but for live CW manipulation you should use a external cw keyer with separate key-ptt outputs.
