Hello all. I would like to connect an Electrovoice RE-320 on the MIC #2 connection. I already have a Heil PR-781 on MIC#1.......but like to know what cable is needed for MIC #2?

1/8" plug on one side to XLR on other end of cable. Anyone know of a source?

Thank you
Mike

I wired my own 1/8" adapter to XLR for my AT1300 mike.
I had an old RG45 cable and cut off 8" with connector and wired it to a 3 pin XLR Connector.

You need to ID the wires /pins on the RG-45: Pins 4 & 6 are the mike element and pin 7 is ground.
On the XLR connector Pin 1 is ground where pins 2 & 3 are the mike element.
(On the 1/8" TRS Plug, sleeve is cable shield. The ring and tip are the mike element connections.)

This info is also in the manual for the SDR2 Dx

If you plan on using the MIC1 (jack, you better plan on a voltage blocking cap- in your setup

the 781 DOES NOT HAVE A VOLTAGE BLOACKING CAP and there is a constant Voltage on Mic1 connector, it CAN NOT like other radios be turned off (BIAS voltage is Always present)
Please do not email me and ask for help I no longer will be part of this, If I could delete /remove my profile I would do so.
