Is there anyone who has the Starter program functioning in Windows ?
If so, how did you do ?

it's really simple- if you use directions outlined for the starter -
Make sure you have decent internet and you should be good

As I wrote in our e-mail correspondence, I have done as you say in your videos,
but no sucess.

Therefore I asked here for more ideas.

Hi,

The starter application worked until yesterday. I tried to run it today, but it will fall immediately. I use it on two remote locations and the situation is the same. Some solution?

Starter.exe connects successfully for me but I can't connect from the internet via my phone or another laptop on from the internet ( not my local network ), when I try connect starter.exe crashes and closes but if I don't try connect it will stay open with connection successful displayed, the v3 software on the remote laptop is connected to the sun network but the sdr doesn't show up which is because remote.exe crashes and closes. All ports are open on my router.

I have the sun sdr ip changed to 192.168.1.255 and it all works fine locally, I have the sdr connected to my switch that the laptop is connected to, the sun sdr doesn't have to be connected to the laptop for starter.exe to work ? the sun is connected via the same switch the laptop is connected to.

I'm missing something but don't know what yet.

I have the same home set up as you .. a router with sunsdr2pro on one port and my laptop on an other port . system works .

To get it running on my smartphone via mobile provider.

1. only start the starter program on the laptop and see it connects , nothing else there.
2 om my phone open Chrome browser ( not firefox it newer finds sunsdr but tries)
goto cloud.eesdr.com:5450 and log in
the screen says Hello, and finds my sundsdr2pro , I click button and the waterfalls start .
to get signals you have to select right ant port at other settings , ATT etc.
it is the simple webpage rx only .

My phone is Android . Laptop is win 8 . and I have not made any changes to any ports on my router.
I think the starter program calls from the lan side on the the router to the cloud and opens ports .

only hikup I somtimes get a BISY during login , somthing to do with closing the browser.

Thanks for the reply, I followed your advice and it still doesn't work, starter runs and displays connection successful message and will stay like this until I try connect via phone over internet then starter crashes and on the EESDR login on the phone it just stays connecting forever.

I wish there was some kind of log to see what's happening.

Doesn't work on Windows 11 or my other windows 10 laptop, I am out of options.

if you can manage to open a DOS promt an go to the directory with the starter.exe is .
then type starter to run the program

then the dos window stays open . and you can see a kind of log . and messages in the black box during the remote session .
it will tell you why it stopped . e.t.c

b.t.w the starter program close here when i use wifi , it has to be on a cable between router and laptop .

I tried running via dos, same problem, starter.exe window shows connect successful then when I try to connect via mobile phone starter.exe crashes with no log of any kind in DOS.

Now whether this has anything to do with it or not I do not know, I noticed that my router does not detect the SUN SDR, I set the ip to 192.168.1.177 and it is not showing up on the router but yet I can connect with no issue with my laptop and my other laptop remotely on the LAN.

I have no idea what's wrong!

My router see the sunsdr as a static ip when i look in the clientlist.
I tried to reserve sdr ip in the dhcp list , and it still works .
I think the cloud service is also unstabile from time to time , today the starter prg did not connect , bud failed with internal error, then after 15 min it worked again.

any way it is still under test phase ... hi .

In the starter directory there is also a file called cell.exe , if I run that alone , a dos box opens with :



the ip adress is the laptop adress and it seems they use port 5050.
The starter.exe starts the cell.exe when the connection starts .

I had to allow both starter.exe and cell.exe to go thru my firewall (changed the priviliges manually, and run as administrator) .

windows also came up the first time and asked if it was ok to run them .

I can Ping the sunsdr ip from the starter laptop .
