Downloaded and installed latest beta. Did a few hours of testing, looks promising so far! No obvious bugs as far as I can see, but only used digimodes. The only thing I have noticed is a lower overall volume both out from the RX and when using the "monitor" function. Anybody else seeing this?
yes I confirm that there is a problem with monitor (MON).
For my part I mainly remote my MB-1 from my desk room on a desktop computer as I described on this forum few months ago.
So I'm using ExpertSDR2 1.2 beta 4 installed on the desktop computer. With this beta 4 if MON is disabled, when I transmit in any mode, I can hear me very loud in the speakers of my desktop PC as if MON was enabled with a 100% monitor level.
To prevent this I'm obliged to enable MON and reduce the monitor level to 0%.
I installed beta 4 from the day of the output and these are the issues I noticed.
Just switched on mb1 if i send to CW i do not have switching on PTT outputs go to tx in ssb and then return to cw the PTT outputs work regularly
(Problem noticed by alpha 5)
PA mode in CW mode does not work, switching is always done.
I have problems with the scale of spectrum scope.
I set the scale to get 20db step. I turn off and restart mb1 and the scale has 10db step. Tx commutation and scale returns with 20db step
Tx module has a COMP set value of 1.6 and if I pressed in COMP key I set a value of 3.
The spectrum scope movement is not linear.
It moves to shots.
This is what I found.
However it seems to me a good beta

I have a problem with stability. I tested on several desktop computers and the same problem. If you are in the two monitor mode, it stops or does not start. This is less common in one monitor mode. If I launch Ham Radio Delux then it will also stop after a few minutes.
tested OP systems Win10 and WIN 8
Hello I'm new here, my name is Kevin from Germany.
I noticed that via the (MIC 1) input no FM modulation is possible. Only one silent carrier is sent.
Operating system is Windows 10, 6 core AMD processor with 3.8 Ghz.
Hardware is the SunSDR2 QRP.
effectively beta 4 has problem not only in AM mode but in all phone modes when I'm using ExpertSDR2 1.2 beta 4 on my remote desktop computer using Mic PC. It is possible to resolve it in SSB mode enabling monitor and turning it to 0 it is more problematic in FM or AM mode, for example as monitor is always ON even monitor level is set to 0.
I hope I've correctly summarized the situation concerning monito bug.
I haven't tried it but it is possible that this problem occurs on the MB-1 itself if we are using MIC PC.
