I have been trying to use the X1, X2, X3 & X4 programmable keys on the CTRL to communicate band changes to an antenna switch with a built in band decoder. It should be possible to use this facility to also switch band filters, power amps etc but I have not succeeded in getting it working. The antenna switch worked fine using BCD data with both the K3 & the Flex6500 but not yet with the MB1.
The set up I have tried is shown in the attachment, where X1 to X4 represent ABCD

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but has anyone got the MB1 BCD facility working properly?

I forgot to say that I think the diagram above is wrong in that X4 should be Band A, X3 should be Band B, X2 should be Band C & X1 should be Band A but the above diagram is what I was supplied with

Hi, Ray,
Are you sure that you need to tie ABCD lines via resistors to 12V? In some cases, it might be 5V.
Please send us the same table for your PA - www.amateurtele.com/images/amateurtelecom_FT991_banddata.png

Hi Roman
The diagram of the Setup I was using was wrong!. The settings for the 10M & 6M bands were in error. Also Band A should have been connected to X4 Band B to X3, Band C to X2 & Band D to X1 in my diagram.
In practice I actually used X3, 4, 5 & 6 for Bands A, B, C & D as per the sheet you sent me. It might be a good idea to put that sheet in the next issue of the MB1 manual?
As I did not have a 5 volt Zenner diode I have used the 12 Volt line but I have ordered some Zenners & will try one when they arrive
Thanks for your help Roman!
