hi everyone

just got my MB1 and im amazed. Setting up things now step by step.

One thing i cannot figure out:
As first, i connected my powered PC-Speakers to the rear headphone jack of MB1. I could hear the Windows-Sound on the speakers as expected.
Then i connected a HDMI-Display with speakers to MB1, the speakers on the Headphone jack disappeared and all Windows-Sound is played on the display-speaker.

However, how can i, in addition of the internal speaker, play the SDR-Radio sound on my speakers connected to the rear headphone jack of the MB1 ??

any help is highly appreciated.

best 73 and HNY 2018

Hello Thomas,

I think it is possible that when you installed your display the default setting for Sound was changed in the Windows audio mixer. To check if this is what has happened, go to the Windows Task-Bar and right-click on the Speakers icon. This will bring up a menu from which you should select Playback Devices.

In my example above, when I added my display the default went to "U28E590" and away from "Speakers - Realtek HD Audio". Assuming this is the case for you, return the default to its correct entry. Then the sound output should have reverted to the MB1.

If this doesn't help, please let us know.

hi erik

i wish you and your family a happy and healthy new year 2018 !

thank you for your answer.
it was not the problem of the standard device. it looks like windows detected the internal mb1 speaker as connected to the front panel 3,5mm jack. it was a advanced device setting that muted the rear 3,5mm headphone jack of the mb1.
i had to change it in the realtek hd-audio application as shown below.
the funny thing is, as i choosed to split up the playback devices, windows made a new device for the internal mb1 speaker called "Realtek HD Audio 2nd output".
the speakers connected to the rear jack are now the former "Speakers" device.
as soon i had both speakers shown up in windows sound, i could enable the soundcard output in expertsdr2 software and everything works fine
thank you very much for your help.
