Why can't I change it to a IP address that is for my network?

My first thought, based on the lack of detail in your question, is that you misunderstand the settings. I will have to cover a few possible remedies since you don't tell us exactly what you have tried to change and where the failure occurred.

1 If you refer to the IP Address that you see in Options>Device>SDR Address then this cannot be changed because it is solely for connecting the SDR module to the computer internally.

2 If you refer to the ethernet port address, used to connect the MB1 to an external computer/router/LAN (when not using WIFI), then
a) normally you do not need to set a static address because (on the presumption that your OS is Windows), DHCP will be enabled.
b) should you want to force a static address, go to Network Connections in Control Panel and select the relevant ethernet and in Properties set its TCP/IPv4 address, submask and gateway to suit your network. This is the computer ethernet (Realtek) and not the internal port with the 192.168.158.x address (do not change that).

If none of the above apply to you, please give greater detail together with pictures where appropriate. Help us to help you by stating your OS, your ESDR2 version and any other relevant information.
