My radio appears to be off 18-20 Hz- in past when using SDR transceivers I could simply tune to WWV and in software click calibrate and the radio would do a calibration and set the frequency accurately
I do not see such an option in EESDR2- have I overlooked something if not could this be implemented in V3?
Since I do not have an external 10Mhz reference source I really have no way of figuring out what value I would need to enter in the Frequency coefficient filed If that is ween the correct location to do so.
And oddly I notice and others report this more on 80 and 20/10 meters, 40 seems to be close
However when attempting to correct the frequency using 15.000 in CW mode as outlined here in states. I get No changing of the viewing adapter or any changes in the tone , so apparently the correction is not doing anything. Also confirmed not able to change using 10.0 as well cant here 5.o from my location
I have set things as outlined:
Correction of the displayed frequency could be made according to the time signals on the
4.996MHz, 9.996MHz or 14.996MHz (preferably) frequencies in the IARU region 1 and
5.0MHz, 10.0MHz, 15.0MHz in the IARU region 2, where you can find easily tracked pulse
signals. If they do not match with the tuned frequency, adjust the Frequency coefficient till
the frequency match.
Steps of the procedure:
1. Select the minimal sample rate 39 kHz
2. Set max panorama resolution 16384 Options-Display-Spectrum-FFT size (more detail about
FFT size in Spectrum )
3. Set CW mode
4. Tune on 14.996 kHz in day-time, 9.996 or 4.996 in night-time. The higher the calibration
frequency the better
5. Zoom in panorama to the max level
6. Check, if peak of the signal is away from the red tuning filter, then change the Frequency
coefficient until they match. After each change press the Write button, because these
corrections are stored in the transceiver's firmware
I have attempted this many times no and no changes take place adjusting the correction values have gone from -1.000000 to + 1.000000
