Dear All,

I generally dislike radios to tell me where I may or may not transmit. This is so American Especially when trying to find the SWR limits of an antenna it can be very handy to transmit low power outside of band to find the edges.


My SunSDRPro2 does not allow me to do so, but I guess this is just some command or setting ?

Anybody ??

It has nothing to do with America. It is a Hamradio and you do need a licence to operate ham radio frequencies. If you want to go outside ham radio frequencies you have to modify software or hardware
to make it working on tx outside the ham bands. For example Maritime shortwave radios have other frequencies and another Licence.

another reason, I have a Maritime license (GMDSS-GOC). My Icom M710 transmits everywhere...

I just dislike idiot limitations...

This is why I have the Rig Expert Antenna Analyzer.
I sweep over the desired range to find the VSWR / Zo of the antenna under test.
And make the required adjustments.
To just do a sanity check I use SDCx64 which uses the rig's bandwidth.

If you have easy acces to your 710 use it to find the swr spot on your Sunsdr antenna.

I have plenty of network analysers to check my antennas. I just want my SunSDRPro2 to transmit from 1,5-30 MHz like all my other radios do.

Soon when WW3 has started nobody will care about rules any more, we will just need comms

I think you are over the limit.
And if you just need your SUN to transmit on all freq. spectrum on HF, go back on ESDR2.
