For a while I used a headset with microphone with my SunSDR DX. Every time I made a QSO in the background the participants made me aware that my audio signal was accompanied by an unbearable echo! At first I checked all the microphone settings, equalizer etc. but I could not eliminate the echo effect. I was dissatisfied and began to doubt my radio. Then I had a flash and decided to change the microphone. A microphone separate from the headset and to my surprise the echo effect no longer existed. However, I could not understand why the headset / microphone combination created echo problems for me. The only thing that springs to mind is did you have the monitor function enabled?
If so I guess the mic on the headset was picking up the monitor audio in the headset.

Thanks for your message, but it happens to me with both monitor on and off.... don't know whether to blame the quality of the headphone/microphone. I unfortunately am not able to evaluate the quality. Good dx Arturo, hb9mir

Not sure which version of the software but I'm using V2 and try the( On/OFF line out to sound card ) it could be that hope it is.
