I have already explained it. Ask Roman at EE to tell you in Russian the difference between mini itx configuration and embedded configuration. The 7700t will out-perform the 7700 in the MB1 embedded environment because of thermal throttling. With my i7-6700t I have a PASSMARK of 3800. A 7700t will give 4000. A 7700 in a mini itx will show a tremendous amount more than 4000 because it can run without limitation.

Eric !Novel, so the issue is silent, the response of the Roman Billy not worked with this question !Here is I want under aid forum deal . where are my performance limits ? Am asking You help understand, can who reads forum, too, will prompt!??? Parameter TDP is a parameter of the heat dissipation of the CPU !!!

This is my last response because I now think you are deliberately winding us up. TDP is as I explained: It refers to the amount of power/heat a cooling system (i.e. heatsink, fan) is expected to dissipate to prevent overheating. It is the system environment as I told you, not all alone the CPU. The 7700 will go into thermal throttling in the embedded environment due to the TDP being too high. Probably, unless you are completely stupid which I doubt, something is being lost in my answers due to language contraints. But all data presented came from Gigabyte themselves. You can easily check it.

disabling the USB to HDMI connection ( the monitor duplicated my transceiver screen ) I left the monitor of the transceiver and left the monitor 2 connected to the output of the motherboard HDMI again conducted a test, the performance of my PC in the transceiver increased here are the results of measurements ! Here I made measurements and show the difference !!! How do I set it up correctly ? The monitor output is connected to USB3. 0

As you may recall, I purchased a standard configuration MB1 a while ago and wanted to upgrade the CPU, RAM, and SSD. I was able to upgrade the RAM to 16GB and the CPU to an i7-6700T without a problem, but for some reason can't seem to clone the original 120GB SSD to a 1TB NVMe SSD. I did the cloning in the MB1, and tried both AOMEI Backerupper and EaseUS Todo Backup. I've selected the "Clone Disk" option in both programs, with the 1TB SSD connected through an adapter to one of the rear USB ports. Both clone programs report a successful clone, but I cannot get the MB1 to boot from the cloned drive.

Questions:
1) Am I doing the cloning correctly? Is it really as simple as cloning the 120GB SSD to the 1TB SSD with the 120GB drive still in the MB1 and using the "Clone Disk" command?
2) Is it possible that the MB1 is unable to boot from a drive as large as 1TB?
3) Can I clone the 120GB drive while the MB1 is running from it, or does the cloning have to be done using a separate PC that has booted from its own drive?
4) Does anything have to be done after the cloning operation to make the new SSD bootable?

Thanks,
Stan N6BYU

The MB1 will boot from my 2TB NVMe drive so 1TB must also be ok. Cloning is described in the UMA, in the latest version it is on page 84. The device used is 4x only because in Europe there is no 1x equivalent. After cloning by the described method, it is a bootable drive. To clone without buying this hardware is probably quite possible using a separate PC. I do not exactly know why but even my perfectly bootable 850EVO 2.5in SATA will not boot in the MB1 when connected by SATA to USB adapter cable.

One aggravation I had was that most partition styles these days are GBT. My MB1 original disk had been formatted in MBR. Cloning MBR to GPT requires some extra steps that should be explained in your cloning software, otherwise it will not boot no matter what tools are used (if indeed your original is also MBR).

Considering that what is on the small original drive is so out of date, easiest is to forget about cloning, back up any essential data, and make a fresh install on the new drive.

Good news! I was able to clone the 120GB SATA SSD to a 1TB NVMe SSD using the technique you described. I purchased an M.2 SATA SSD to 2.5" SATA adapter, installed the 120GB SATA SSD into it, connected it to one of the internal SATA ports in the MB1 and booted from it. Then I used AOMEI Backerupper (installed on the 120GB drive) to clone the drive to the new drive. Voila! I was able to boot from the new drive and it behaved just like the old drive, except noticeably faster.

Because the Backerupper software did an exact clone, I had an unused 800+ GB partition on the new drive. I used AOMEI Partition Assistant to resize the boot partition to take advantage of the extra space. The MB1 did a disk check when it booted from the newly partitioned drive, then rebooted successfully.

Thanks again for all the help! I've finally got the MB1 configured just as I want it!

Hi,

the bottleneck in the images based on the mass storage, need to be replaced faster.

My results:

If the replacement chosen is a Samsung 970 EVO Plus you will have the fastest possible. But do not get too carried away with benchmark tests because they are not real world. In these all cores are forced to full capacity which does not happen in real situations. In fact the single core speed is far more important. Nevertheless, having said that, obviously higher benchmark is better. Note too that actually there is no bottleneck - the actual limitation is in the locked BIOS on these motherboards. You can get a full spec sheet from Gigabyte on request.

May I ask what is the model number for the 32 GB upgrade? I did find "Crucial 16GB Single DDR3L 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) DR x4 RDIMM 240-Pin Server Memory CT16G3ERSLD4160B"

Thanks,

I think not because the mobo takes only SO-DIMM, 204 pin and not 240 pin.

You could check with Mark KB3Z - he is using 32GB in his MB1.

Greg,
When I originally ordered my MB1 back in late 2018 I wanted 32GB of memory. When the unit arrived it only had 16 GB of memory. I then talked to Yuri at NSI and he sent me the 32GB of memory and I sent back the 16GB. Is there a real advantage to having 32GB? Well, I really don't have any bottlenecks to say the least. The only program I ever had issues with is Swisslogger. I was always getting delays while it was operating. And you can't use Reverse Beacon as your spotting network. I was told it would push the program too far. And yet when I use it with N1MM I don't have any issues. I wanted to be on the safe side, rather than perhaps living dangerously with on 16GB.
