Hi all,

anyone tried synchronize ESDR2 with SDR Console? I have a problem to run it with OmniRig. Using SunSdr2PRO with ESDR2 and SDR Afedri with SDR Console.
It connects with OmniRig for a few seconds, but thats all...no other cat communitation.

Any idea?

I did, actually . Out of curiosity, while was looking for some available soff for OSA103. I did get some very limited functions, but would not remember exactly, it was a while ago. I do not recall if it was with V3 or previous one.

I believe that you need to downgrade FW on SunSDR to get OmniRig functions. It was deprecated a while ago when guys were moving towards ECAT and TCI.. Look at 1.2.0 mainline, but you might need to go down even further, to 1.1.2 or 1.1.3. Honestly, I do not remember when OmniRig was removed.

Just a quick note:
OmniRig was neer removed, you still can use it, UM - eesdr.com/images/Document/SunSDR2_DX/SunSDR2_DX_User_Manual_ENG.pdf - section 5.7.5.2.

Wow!
@OK8WW, sorry for misleading, mate, I did not mean it.

You got me there, Roman. I thought it was removed, because ... there is nothing but ECATv in macOS version and I am mac user predominantly.
Screen01.png

If I try to switch it, it seems to be another item. Non-selectable though. I remember this behaviors for quite a while, not just with latest 1.3.0. That what made me to believe, that it was removed. Now I am start thinking that it might be a feature - do not display unusable item under macOS ('cause when OmniRig technically available under macOS, there almost nil 3rd party SW to use it). Hence, if this is a bug, I do not mind :)

Under windows - just checked in Fision virtual - yes it is there.

Hi all,

just to explain...synchro is working without any problems in other configurations:

EESDR <-> ICOM = O.K.
EESDR <-> PowerSDR = O.K.
SDR Console <-> ICOM = O.K.
SDR Console <-> SmartSDR = O.K.
SDR Console <-> PowerSDR = O.K.
SDR Console <-> EESDR = NIL

The setup is following:

- SET PAIR COM1 to COM2 on VSPE
- SET CAT port on ECATv1 (COM1)
- SET OmniRig (ExpertSDR on COM2)
- SET SDR Console for Radio 1 (OmniRig EXPERTSDR)

Important!!!!!
After setting this, boths radios sync their FRQ and MODE and the radio is ON LINE for about 1 second!!!! Than is the radio not available and communication is down. I tried a lot of radios and some other virtual serial port emulators, but always the same results.

Hi all.
OmniRig module in ESDR2 available only on Windows OS. Instead of OmiRig, we recommend to use its analogue in SDC software, because SDC is available on all OS and connects to ESDR2/3 via TCI.
