:) :) :)
Here is how I got my ACOM 2000A to change frequency & band with my SUNSDR2dx transceiver.
All I need was these 2 cables:

My PC doesn't have a serial port. So I used A USB to serial I purchased rrom FLEX Radio Systems

Next I use SDCx64 to create a CAT connection for the USB to Serial port that appeared in device manager when I plugged in the USB to serial adapter into my PC.

Next, configure the ACOM2000A for Kenwood and matching baud rate under TCI in SDCx64 software.

Everything work fine without having to use BCD and the Rube Goldberg's Method.

The Kenwood CAT Cable connects between the remote control unit and the PC via the USB.

Wow, thanks for the share. I'm just thinking about this and was wondering if this could work for other amplifiers - specifically the SPE 1.3K-FA.

If I understand your setup correctly, you are having SDC push the CAT data from TCI out of the serial port to the amplifier. Is this correct? Thanks.

Sam thank you for sharing your solution, I wished it could have worked for me too but unfortunately I have connection problems between SDC and ACOM600S.
I exclude serial port issue 'cause the Acom controller 2,1 works flawlessly (a tiny software to basically control ACOM)

I setup the ACOM as specified for Kenwood CAT and the SDC software as well.
So, I wonder if I'm missing something.

I choose to control the PA through TCI instead of control cable because I have 2 Sun and I guess this could be the smartest solution. Any help is very appreciated.
