Hello radio friends.
I would like to share an experience with you. I operate a SunSDR Pro2. I have a Telepost LP-100A as a power meter. From the beginning I had the effect that the output power was not directly available, but increased slowly. It started at around 10 watts and then increased to full power within 10 seconds. At first I neglected the effect. When I took a closer look and checked the antenna cables, plugs, power supply units, etc., the last thing I noticed was the power cable.
I use the original power cable which has never been modified.
Take a look at the photo. The plus cable had only minimal contact. Both cables were not soldered to the pin. For completely incomprehensible. Did I get an monday cable?
After the repair and soldering of the pins, I immediately have full output power. The effect has disappeared. I'm just glad that the radio wasn't damaged by the contact resistance.
Dear OM's - I can only advise you to check your cables after this discovery
