Not a direct answer but I’ve found the best way for setting up audio is to use a 2nd receiver if you have that option.
I do it a few ways.
One way, take a coax switch, put a dummy load on the COM port, put the Sun on port 1, select port 1 and put your 2nd receiver on port 2. You’ll get a nice solid signal on port 2 to monitor and record with.
I ditched switches for a patch bay so now I transmit to a dummy load that has an RF sampler on the line and I feed the output of that into my 2nd receiver...just be careful with your output power from an RF coupler/sampler. With mine it only takes 20W for an S9+50 signal into the 2nd receiver.
i use an SDR Play RSPdx as my second receiver with SDRConsole for doing the recording and it is the best way I’ve ever set up to do this. Just remember to use a wide enough bandwidth RX and to disable any RX EQ when recording.
