Point to point 5ghz range extenders 01 Dec 2023 21:12 #1

Hello folks

I have the opportunity to place the radio (along with a PA) in a rural field about 800 meters from my home. It's a huge field where I could build a big tower with dipoles etc...so very interesting.
The problem is that there's no internet connection.

I was thinking about using a couple of TP-Link or Ubiquity 5ghz point to point range extender: I mean: radio (in the field) is connected to range extender and the pc (at home) running eesdr3 is connected to the other one.
Has anyone tried something like that? do you think it is something that could work in terms of ping, bandwidth and speed?
The two locations are 750-800 meters apart and have a "almost clear" line of sight (apart from some trees)

The alternative would be using a FWA 5g internet at the remote site but that would mean always using the radio in remote mode, I would prefer the "direct" connection.

I apologize if I posted in the wrong section of the forum, but did not found a "more compatible" section

Waiting for your suggestions!
