I have been using my SunSDR2 Dx Gen5 without issue, but when I returned to the station today and attempted to turn the radio on, I received this message: "Failed to read device calibrations".
Supply voltage is correct, and LAN is connected to PC.
Green light on radio flashes normally when turned on.
The FW Version does not show up as normal before the radio GUI is activated.

Has anyone had this occur?

Tom,

Any Windows updates/changes in your network? Double check firewall, both private/public checked.
Green light flashes or actually stable?
Can you ping your device?
Easiest solution:
Click OK and press the power button in your top left.

Hello Yuri,

I shut down ALL VIRUS and THREAT protection and restarted the PC.
Started up ESDR and all worked as it should.

The green LED on the unit blinked as normal during startup to answer your question.
What I did notice was that before clicking on start, press the FIRMWARE MGR button and you will see what FW Ver is active.
That came up blank, no version indicated.
When the radio is operating correctly, the current active FW Version will appear.

Thank you for the prompt reply and suggestions, they worked!

Best regards,
Tom W3FRG

This intermittent fault has been traced to the PC's RJ45 LAN connector.
Substituted an RJ45 to usb LAN adapter and problem has not returned.

Hi, in case anyone finds it interesting, let me tell you what happened to me today. After days without turning on the SunSDR2DX I find that once I start the program, when I press TUNE the program disconnects and gives me the famous message Failed to read the device calibrations.. When I keep trying to connect, when it didn't give me that error message error, when going to Tune or TX, it disconnected and gave me the error Lost connection with Sunsdr2DX.
I read in the forum and did a ping, seeing that it gave 0 sg. As a possible LAN failure was discussed in the forum, I restarted the SWITCH to which I have the SunSDR2DX connected and everything was solved.
I hope it is useful to you.
