I*m playing with a new to me SUNSDR2 Pro. So far everything is working okay. In the future the TRX will live in a different ip subnet than my macs.
These subnets 192.168.100.0/24 (VLAN 100) and 192.168.200.0/24 (VLAN 200) are connected with a Cisco L3 switch, which works just fine for my other rigs, but I need to tell them the default gateway. in both cases .1
Where can I set the default gateway. I just can set an ip, not even a subnet mask, which is a kind odd too.

To be short and easy:

With Cisco L3 switch you do not need to configure hosts with default GW under conditions when host are within same subnet with GW (i.e., GW = 192.168.100.1/24, host = 192.168.100.2/24). In given situation host routing will be handled by GW automatically.

Important: avoid situations when host is explicitely within different subnet (i.e. GW = 192.168.0.1/16 host = 192.168.100.2/24) - in that situation default GW will be needed, but there is no config for it in EESDR.

Well my computers (for ham radio) and the Radios themself are in different subnets. I agree that I have a bit uncommon network setup, but as a network engineer my network is a bit more complex, as it has to serve some more purposes.

Oh that is very uncommon and sad, as it leaves the rig useless for me, too bad.
Unfortunately also face the TCI problems in 1.0.6 and the lack of virtual comports for Mac OS X.
I guess I'll end up selling the SundSDR Pro again, unfortunately.

I was under the impression the product is more sophisticated.

I am not sure what is "uncommon" and what is "sad". Specifically when you have Cisco L3 device in hand. With that combination - SunSDR + Cisco L3 - there is, practically, no limit of how you can configure the network. Any imaginable configuration possible.

Even in example I have given the above saying "avoid it", you still can configure source routing and achieve what is needed without any need of default gateway in SunSDR. Of course, it requires you to know the routing config options within Cisco L3 switch.
