Hi Erik and all,

Today I replaced the Teensy3.2, but that didn't help. So there is something else going on.
All baud rates, in SDC, SDR2pro and loop controller are at 19200B / s. Windows has the correct FTDI drivers.
I had some doubts about the connection of the TX data line to the controller. The TX line from the RS232 / USB cable has to be connected to the RX pin on the controller?
I am using this cable:
www.sparkfun.com/products/12977
I would love to hear what you think.

Regards.

Henri

USB to TTL adapter needs to be connected following the "null-modem" schematic. So
TX (adapter) -> RX (Teensy)
RX (adapter) -> TX (Teensy)
In addition I suggest you test the connection accessing Loop Controller serial port using a simple Terminal program like Termite. Be sure the Teensy serial port has the proper setup like 19200,N,8,1 and then send some commands to see if and how the controller responds.

Hi Enzo,

thanks for the reply.
I try it out immediately.
I let you know how it goes. But first install termite. I never worked with it. Definitely a big challenge for an old analog ham.

Kind regards

Henri

Hi Enzo and all,

1. TX (adapter) -> RX (Teensy) and RX (adapter) -> TX (Teensy) OK.
2. disconnect the Modem cable at the loopcontroller and measured with oscilloscope at TX line: See photo.

3. Connect modem cable at loopcontroller Serial pins and measure at pin 0 (TX) of Teensy. See photo

sorry, something went wrong.
I continue:
It seems the signals at the pins of the Teensy are ok, but the lojpcontrollencan't decode them.
4. There is a Menu Item "Serial Debug". It shows a continuous line of "IF;"messages. See Photo .

Does someone have any ideas?
Many thanks,

Henri

Hello Henri,

I don't know the Loftur controller but it seems it is showing the command that should be sent to the (CAT) serial port.
IF; is the typical Kenwood command that Reads the transceiver status.
If the controller can handle two serial ports you may have switched them or you have done a bad configuration.
Anyway it seems a software issue, while hardware is working properly.

Problem solved!!

Software problem!
In loopcontroller menu: TTL and 19200b/s , NOT: RS232 and 19200b/s
In SDC: Under PA tab: Device type: Kenwood cat(if), NOT; Kenwood cat.

My sincere thanks to all people helping to solve this.
Kind rewgards,
