I bought a SunSDR2-DX to be able to operate my station remotely. I have now encountered some problems. The first thing I noticed, I can't find a split button. Is split operation not possible with the client of this version? If so, the client would be completely useless to me.

Use ExpertSDR3, we do not support ExpertSDR2 and its remote client since 2021.

I have already tested ESDR3 extensively. Locally everything works fine, but in remote mode the CW macros don't work. I tried it with the CW software from IW7DMH and with SDC. The SSB macros work, but not CW. I read all the guides and the forum and tried all the settings for a week, no chance. In the meantime I am totally desperate and disappointed. My last hope was to switch back to ESDR2. Again my question, does it work here with Split and VFOB? Or do you have an idea why the CW macros don't work?

1. Check the UM for ESDR3, page 139 - eesdr.com/images/Document/ESDR3/ExpertSDR3_User_Manual_ENG_DX.pdf

2. ESDR2 is not supported since 2021, and it does not work in remote by itself.
You'll need to move back to old firmware 72.8 (if I'm not mistaken) and use ExpertRC client with ExpertRS server, which are legacy now - eesdr.com/en/software-en/expertremote-en
Not sure if it had SPLIT, but it worked in CW.

I am trying EESDR3 with a remote connection but having the rig in front of me. I use a RPI4 server.
SO far SPLIT function seems to work or at least you can activate it.
Unfortunately, CW does not work, connecting the paddle to the rig. This can make sense because this won't be the configuration of a remote station.
It's true that the TUNE function does to work properly when on remote, and I mean that no SWR indication is given. I don't know if this is a bug or I am missing something.
I am not sure if my comments help you or you are maybe already ahead of the situation I describe.

Thank you for the answers, even if they don't help me. I've read the manual several times and it doesn't solve the problem. Of course I use the old firmware 72.8 and of course also ExpertRC client with ExpertRS server. As I said, I have been testing the software extensively for several weeks and am very familiar with the software.

My question again is whether split operation is possible or not with the client software (ExpertRC). I sent a screenshot in my first message. There is also no button to activate split operation. Did I miss something?

Split works in ESDR3, I wrote that before. Nevertheless, thank you Stefan for your help. Unfortunately the CW macros don't work here. Has anyone been able to successfully test the CW macros?

I had already read this note in the UM, but is that the reason why the CW macros don't work? Please see Appendix. Do I understand correctly that CW via remote is currently not possible?

Torsten, it looks like CW does not operate in remote yet by seeing your screenshot.
Most probably it will be ready by January when the final EESDR3 will be released.

Your question should be answered either by Rome or Pavel.
Anyhow I will follow the threat because I am also interested in remote operation specially on CW.
In fact I am going to by a windows laptop to check remote CW operation as you can connect the key to RS232 port. This is not possible on macOS.
If make some advances on this, I will let you know, although I am afraid you are are much more advanced than I am.
