Many people use a SDR as panadapter and waterfall display with traditional analog radios remotely. I currently use a ColibriNano as 2nd RX and monitor as TX CW is not enabled in SDR3 software V1.07 yet for SDR2DX. Here is a case of a software or hardware issue in SDR3. PC I-7 32GB Ram, 3.5 Ghz, WIN 10 Pro software, with SDR3 V1.07 Beta.

I have found that when using Starter Cloud server if Remote Starter disconnects from Starter server control PC the ON-OFF TAB on Radio control will go Grey in color. The connection from remote to destination RX may still be functioning. With ON-OFF button is Grey you will not be able to make a normal controlled shutdown of the receiver in SDR3. At his point shutdown is done with Starter by signing out. This is where the trouble really begins.

Multiple Windows files become corrupt and you will no longer be able to connect to remote RX using WAN and Starter event though indications show green connectivity. SDR3 will not connect to remote RX and program will exit. The corrupt files also can effect usage of of SDR2DX even ln local control causing various functions to be unstable. The only fix of the problem is to uninstall SDR3 and clean Windows TEMP and Registry files and reinstall SDR3. Needless to say this sucks. :(
