Need advice. For the first time ever, when starting the software I got a popup screen that said "PA firmware process" with a green progress bar below the message. After a few seconds, there is another popup window that said "failed to erase firmware!". I was not in the options menu when this happened - just normal routine (remote) operation of the rig on the prior power cycle. .

What are the steps to fix this? tnx, 73, Walt

One other thing... Going into expert mode and clicking on PA info presents the following message "PA in bootloader mode, need firmware!"

Solved. Removed the 12v power cable and reinserted and the software and rig booted up. I thought the hardware power switch removes power from the radio. Apparently, not.
