Does anyone have experience with running the sdr2dx on AM? I'm running V2 still and noticed there's no AM carrier while keyed down and looks like it's actually running in dual sideband mode which is NOT AM.

Thanks,

But do you actually see a carrier on the spectrum while keyed down with no modulation? I do see power output but the level of modulation is way over the top. That's not the proper ratio of carrier to mod on AM. I've had people confirm this on the receiving end. When you look at an am broadcast station or even an armature am station the modulation is never more than 80% of the carrier which is constant. I like this rig but it is NOT an AM rig. My Anan has an adjustable carrier and works as it should. Also, if you look in the options tx window the bandwidth is set for AM and DSB in the same window with no carrier level adjustment. That's why I say it's actually running in DSB with a very small carrier. I don't think whoever wrote the software understands this principal as no one has or can answer my question.

I agree with K1GMM. I also use Anna products and they modulate AM far better than the EE DX2 overall they are a far superior radio. I understand that the ANAN produces DSB and then introduces a carrier which can be adjusted to give 100% modulation or greater - perfect.
Recently while using the EE DX2 i have noticed strange modulation on AM! This is the last straw for me with EE. With this and all of their overpromising and underdelivering, like lots of others I am selling up with EE.
I hope EE see this post - and please do not bother to reply you have lost your opportunity goodbye.
