I have been spoken to Alex RX4HX (author of LogHX) earlier in May this year. He told me, that he has no plans to make his log cross platform. It means that for use of LogHX at my Mac I have to either keep bootcamp or Fusion with VM running - both are less than ideal. Same problem would be with Linux-based OS.
Another thing is that when LogHX is good SW for stationary, it does not meet simplistic approach for Log, needed by DXpeditioner. If you think "IOTA" and "DXpedition", the last thing we do care about at the island in a middle of nowhere, are the "Cluster, awards, maps" and all that be-a-u-tiful Internet/Cloud-based functionality. Because, obviously, there is no Internet there. Actual battery life, antenna position at unknown beach, level of generator fuel and pile-up handling, became a priority.
To be honest, I am not a programmer and I am lazy. Believe me, I would not bother to create my own log, if there is any usable for me out there.
