Do you have any idea how you got into this situation? (because I have no idea)
Did you try transmitting on other bands to see if that fixes it? (did for me)
Also: Does tuning work properly (i.e. at the set power) for you even while regular tx does not? (does for me)

There is one item conveyed to me that he thought there was a problem in the setup because when TX, the RMS needle barely moves with audio output. I, for the life of me, cannot figure out what function controls how much the RMS needle moves. Mic gain, Drive, etc? Thank you Nate NA6TE

Actually on my side I have always had a problem with digi modes while using VAC.
I thought it was coming from VAC but now I am wondering.

While transmitting a FT8 signal and while monitoring suddenly the power goes to 0 but the sound of FT8 goes down too.
I need to stop transmission and start again and it will transmit a few seconds and then go again 0 power / 0 sound.

I finally use another transceiver for FT8.

Dunno if this is the same issue but have always had huge issues with VAC and JTDX / fldigi.
RTTY is same.

For us or anyone else to provide help we need to clearly understand the situation, thus ALWAYS provide your setup description, add it to your signature if you want.

OS: Windows 10/ macOS/ Linux Ubuntu - under which OS you have confirmed the issue
Your PC parameters briefly
Description: full and most descriptive information about the bug/issue. Presence of the third-party software, if yes, how it's connected via TCI or CAT/VAC.
Correlations: indicate if you found any dependencies or conditions under which issue/bug occurs
Reproduction steps - describe if applicable

You and I have had this discussion at length. Info, including video was provided. I went thru your suggestions while you were on vacation and to no avail.
I added the question about the RMS needle movement recently and that was your concern the last time we communicated.
If that question can be answered, I can possibly find the problem.

WHAT governs the RMS meter movement? Drive, Mic gain, power, etc?

It seems to me and others that since that person is the PROGRAMMER, the answer to the RMS needle source should be immediate since they are the ones that programmed it.
