Hello Rich. Most, if not all, MB1 users install the 3rd party software to the MB1 computer. By this means, everything is simplified. It can more than handle it. A separate computer can be employed, and SunSDR2(Pro) users have no choice in that, but the MB1 is designed as a MonoBlock, all-in-one machine. 73 de Erik.

The User Manual Addendum has been Updated.

1 SDC is now at version 10.20 and has several enhancements.

a) There is now a PA Tab for amplifier control and CAT interfacing. It means that com port splitting in VSPE is no longer required. Most brands of amp are catered for.

b) Functionality of ActiSpot has been improved.

c) Display issues on 4K monitors is solved.

d) Usual Skimmer improvements and code refinements.


2 Swisslog version 5.97 is now released, it being the most comprehensively featured logging program with TCI implementation. TCI affords it ESDR2 interfacing without com ports and DX Spot output to the ESDR2 panorama plus the usual rig control functions.

It features one-or-many DX Messages (Cluster) windows, one-or-many Band Maps (each of which can be CAT controlled or not, supply DX Spots to the pan or not) and has full customisation of colors for Statistics (different colors for Spots on pan depending on worked, confirmed, needed and many other features including auto-logging from WSJTx, JTDX, FLDigi, etc.

Swisslog is free of charge.

3 Section on MB1 features not in user manual removed given that the manual has been updated and in the MB1 download section.

4 New section on using a MicroHam unit with the MB1 to facilitate CAT to mutiple devices if you have amp, dynamic antenna, auto-atu, etc.

2 SDC is now at version 10.33 - Yuri has slightly re-worked the program especially in the areas of the Telnet Server and Skimmer Server. An improved Skimmer algorithm is employed. A new feature, QRN Suppressor, is included.

Additional notes in the TX Proc section on how to easily make adjustments to the Equalizer.

There are new / rewritten sections: 'Housekeeping' and 'Troubleshooting'. In writing the 'Housekeeping' section I do not mean to be prescriptive. The measures contained therein are merely suggestions. They are based issues on 4 x MB1 that I provided remedies for in the past month.
